I'm up for Blogger of the year...yah, right.

Oh my.....I just realized I haven't posted since I took my first chemo treatment!!! Guess what?!?! I'm finished! I had treatment #6 on Friday the 13th of January!! Yay me! I survived chemo! I have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow, Friday January 27, 2012 to meet with the radiology department at the Central Utah Clinic to discuss radiation. I'm hoping radiation doesn't kick my trash as bad as chemo did!.......I guess we will know before long!

On January 11, 2012 we said good-bye to Elder Jace Palmer as he entered the MTC....a brief stop before heading to Buenos Aires West Argentina! Another tearful goodbye for this mother....I just cannot make myself smile in the pictures! Then looking back on them I think to myself...what a goober, really? You can't smile for their "farewell pictures?"......That would be a....no. I tried!

We've already gotten three emails from Jace (told you I was a fabulous blogger that keeps up-to-date) and at first I was a little nervous. I sensed that he wasn't loving the MTC....but each email has gotten better. He finishes with a paragraph written in Spanish. I'm going to have to find a Latino to translate my emails! What's another couple of weeks in the MTC going to bring?

Marty lost his Grandmother Collard last night. She had just turned 96 and she fought a good fight. We couldn't figure out what was keeping her here so long. After falling on November 15, 2011, and breaking her neck, she had a brief stay in the hospital, then home to her own home for the remainder of her time here. She was totally bed ridden the last 3 or 4 weeks, and steadily went down hill. I know there is a joyous reunion taking place in heaven right now! She hasn't seen HER mother in 80 years, and her own daughter Nancy passed away almost 5 years to the day of Merlene. Rest in peace Grandma Collard. It's well deserved.
